Why Yoga for Athletes?
The stress of sports on athletes can be intense. These demands often result in imbalances in strength and flexibility that can lead to inefficiences and injury. Yoga for Athletes is designed to help athletes develop more mobility, balanced strength, and stability in their core.
In addition, the practice will help the athlete learn techniques for focus and stress reduction through breathing exercises, body awareness, and visualizations.
Yoga for Athletes is not athletic yoga. Instead, the practice is intended to provide a balance to the athlete's current workout/practice schedule and to allow the athlete opportunity for recovery.

Testimonials
Lauren served as the yoga instructor and mindset coach for the Milton Football program this season and was instrumental in our team’s success. She has a fantastic rapport with the players, which enables her to employ her terrific teaching style. The players truly looked forward to our sessions with Lauren and were noticeable stronger, both mentally and physically, than our opponents throughout the playoffs. I have no doubt that she had a huge impact on our state championship season!

Thanks again for all of the awesome work over the last 4 weeks with our NFL players. I’ve asked everyone who attended one of your sessions and I have yet to hear anything negative (and I asked them to let me know what we could do to improve the program). Honestly, no surprise there as they all need this desperately and you do a great job of making it fun, engaging, and effective. So thank you for being great at what you do and using it to help our athletes improve their recovery practices.
Here are some comments left by our athletes: "Game changer"; "She's excellent"; "Great recovery post workout"; "I would pay to have her twice a week"; "I loved it".

Lauren Reese has been instrumental in Lambert Swim Team’s conditioning over the past three years. Flexibility, core strength and focus are vital to swimmers as they practice and race, and all three of these areas are addressed and improved through yoga. Lauren Reese and Breathe Yoga have helped improved our team’s overall flexibility and balance with the warrior poses, their core strength through plank positions (which is the basis of all strokes), and focus which many times is the difference between first and second place. Breath control is integral to swimming and swimming fast and learning how to feel your breath and breathe correctly has improved performance in all races. We have learned to focus our breathing simultaneously with our movements and knowing how to utilize breathe control for optimal performance. We cannot always control what goes on outside us or in the lane next to us but we can control what is inside – the knowledge that we can tap this power is key to our success.
In general, yoga is therapeutic after a difficult practice and invigorating before an important meet. We would not have won 3 state championships without the benefits Lauren Reese has shown us through yoga and will continue as a team to reap the rewards.
We look forward to our Friday Yoga practices and would recommend Lauren for any athlete at any age.

Lauren did an amazing job with my baseball players - not only did they learn the body awareness and breathing techniques that have helped them immensely on the field, she was able to vastly increase their core strength and range of motion specifically towards baseball oriented movements. She has helped all my players get better not only physically but mentally as well!

I have used yoga with our baseball players for several years now and I believe it is an integral part of our players developing core strength and flexibility. What I had not been introduced to before were the benefits of breathing techniques and an emphasis on relaxation. After working with Lauren, I feel our players are better prepared for the stress and grind of a high school baseball season. I truly value Lauren’s knowledge and appreciate her desire and dedication in preparing our players for success.
